Eritrean loading gauge

[edit]

Talk:Loading gauge/Archive 1#Loading gauges by country.
@Tabletop:. Hello, Why did you call the file loading gauge instead of structure gauge? What is it? I don't have my Jane's 1970 edition handy. Peter Horn User talk 04:25, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Tabletop: Hello, I'm patiently waiting for a clarification. Peter Horn User talk 13:13, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There are. Go to the actual file by pressing "2022 network statement", and in the 148-page pdf file there is a table of contents with loading gauge described in appendix 3 on page 67. Unfortunately scanned from paper with bad quality with is bad for an official regulatory document.--Libb (talk) 05:06, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Glasgow tunnel smaller than the minimum diameter agreed upon?

[edit]

Glasgow tunnel smaller than previously stated minimum diameter agreed upon, mistake in text or what's reason for not honoring it?

In the section "Tube lines", it says '"The evidence submitted to the Committee on the question of the diameter of the underground tubes containing the railways has been distinctly in favour of a minimum diameter of 11 ft 6 in (3.51 m)". After that, all tube lines were at least that size' but then the Glasgow Tunnel is listed in the following list with 3.35m diameter, which is less than the agreed upon 3.51m minimum. Is this a mistake or is it worded confusingly? 2003:E8:D70B:7799:75C3:78C2:F13F:D393 (talk) 16:20, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The question is, whether the Comittee's findings were binding or not. If so, did they apply only to standard-gauge railways, or to all railways? --Redrose64 🦌 (talk) 20:13, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
